I began to take an interest in the computer world and digital graphics when I was a boy to devote myself to my passion was given my first computer a Commodore vic 20. It was the era of strongly pixelated images and machines with reduced memory and performance. Today we live in a hyper-technological world, in which most people own a Smartphone, which, in short, is a very small sized computer with capabilities in terms of performance and exceptional possibilities. Why not exploit this means and its capabilities in the field of art?
My first approach to augmented reality applied to interactive art was through the open source project Openframeworks and a plugin that implements the technology ARToolKit: the result was the series of small sculptures with the name of AR_scultura 01, 02, 03 that I presented at the show Carnet de reves at Studio Orta.
The most complex work I did was Ecotopia of art - my thesis - where it was possible to interact with the work by sending tweets to an account on Twitter an image was sent from a video camera with random "poetic" text generated by the software.
